Astronomy made easy or so I was lend to believe. You do need a good knowledge of the stars to setup this up. That’s he moan out the way. This is the best telescope I’ve ever had the pleasure to own. Yes it’s not straight forward to setup but once done the night’s stargazing is an absolute pleasure. That power and clarity of the optics is outstanding. Looking through the telescope for the first time was as if I’d opened my eye for the first time. I could not believe what I was seeing the brightness was incredible. It is not the cheapest of telescope and only get the one lens but I do feel it would be money well spent. The mount is well made and quite sturdy. Easy to fit the goto arm and the telescope is simple to fit too. Take about 5 minutes there’s a few options to align the telescope once done your good to go. The finder scope that come with this I’d don’t rate at all I can’t get on with it and will be replacing it as soon as possible. Everything else about the telescope is great there’s a little lens holder that fits on the mount and help keep everything sturdy. For mobility it’s a good size not to bulky the case for this is £300 up but I do feel with a little effort you use some of the packaging and away you go. This telescope is pretty good for the beginner who's not so interested in learning their way around the sky but is more inclined to be a tourist of the sky and who may intend to make use of the integrated equatorial wedge(otherwise the Nexstar 127 SLT is a better buy due to the extra inch of aperture). With 8 fresh quality AA batteries the GoTo is pretty accurate when setup properly (it uses American dating system), easily placing objects within the field of view of a 25, 32 or 40mm Plossl eyepiece. Downside is it eats through batteries as it only works at it's best with fresh batteries, if you observe a lot and for long periods a Celestron or Skywatcher 7ah or 17ah power tank is required. The focuser seems to work well with not much in the way of the vibration after focusing, the tripod is nice and stable when extended but don't go bumping into it. The accessory tray can easily hold 4 1.25" eyepieces and a Barlow Lens which I've found is all I need for observing with this scope. The optics are high quality producing good views of the moon, planets and double stars, and open clusters though these don't tend to fit in the whole view even when it's only had a short time to cool down. But if you're more interested in faint deep sky objects this telescope will have too small an aperture to satisfy you, and you'd be better off with the 8SE or a dobsonian. It is highly portable, I carry it from a living room through a hallway and two rooms in one piece fully assembled with tripod legs up and with eyepieces+barlow lens in their accessory tray, it'd be a good choice for someone living in a high flat. Last couple things is if you do get this scope or another of the SE series I highly reccomend purchasing the Celestron SkyQLink 1 or 2 either work with Android or iOS and using Skyportal app or Sky Safari 4 Plus or Pro to control the telescope, it's a lot better than using the handcontrol. You will also want a a Celestron or Skywatcher powertank to provide a steady power supply to keep the GoTo accurate for hours on end.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ON GETTING IT OUT OF ITS MANY BOXES. ON OF THEM SAID MADE IN CHINA WHOOPS IT NEARLY GOT RETURNED ASAP.BUT. i FIGURED CELESTRON HAD USED A RECLAIMED BOX THIS AINT CHINA ITS TOO GOOD SO DOWN TO THE NITTY GRITTY IT IS A SOLID MADE ITEM LOOKS AND FEELS GOOD. VERY EASY TO PUT TOGETHER i STUUFED SOME BATTERYS IN AND DID A MANUAL TERESTRIAL VIEWING OF A NEGHBOURS CHIMNEY. CLEAR AS CHRYSTAL. SO TONIGHT ITS JUPITER AND THE MOON i HAVE NOT AS YET SET UP THE GOTO BUT THE MOTORS SEEM TO BE SMOOTH AND THE TRIPOD IS SOLID AS A ROCK. SO SHOULD BE QUITE GOOD ENOUGH FOR LONG DISTANCE VIEWING i HAVE A 2TIMES BARLOW TO FIT ALSO A SEBEN ZOOM LENSE SO ALL TO TRY OUT AT PRESS i WILL BE UPDATING THE FINAL REULTS IN A FEW DAYS SKY PERMITING i HAVE ORDERED A POWER TANK TO SAVE ON BATTERIES SO NEXT FEW WEEKS WILL TELL THE SKIES HERE ARE FULL OF HEAT HAZE SO MAY HAVE TO WAIT TILL SEPTEMBER AND BE CONTENT WITH OLD MAN MOON OR JUPE IF I AM LUCKY turns out all celestron tackle now made in china including this scope however it is solidly made but I am having great difficulty setting up the go to I put in my location the correct time etc but am having no luck aligning it at this time if I succede i will add more

Super fácil de usar, es mi primer telescopio y es la primera vez que lo uso y logré estás increíbles tomas con mi celular y los lentes que venian incluidos. Todo eso lo capture en mi ciudad a las 10pm en mi jardin, con el alumbrado público a todo lo que da y no se perturbo. Sin dudas se le puede sacar muchísimo más provecho con una cámara CMOS, montura ecuatorial y un lugar aislado de las ciudades, esos serán mis próximos pasos. Recomendado!

Possesseurs de plusieurs équipements optiques (longue,vue, jumelles...) je voulais acquérir un télescope facile d'utilisation et me permettant d'observer prioritairement notre système solaire (Jupiter et ses lunes, Saturne et ses fabuleux anneaux). Ce modèle NexStar 8SE de Celestron m'attire depuis un certain temps car il m'a paru présenter un bon compromis en terme de rapport performance/prix tout en étant accessible à mon budget. Doté d'une technologie moderne il offre une vision directe en temps réel de l'image sans passer par un traitement numérique long (et fastidieux) préalable comme c'est fait dans les télescopes numériques récents (et onéreux) qualifiés "intelligents". Ce modèle est intéressant avec son miroir 8 pouces et moderne car conçus pour être piloté par informatique (intégrée) et le cas échéant par le PC. Ce télescope arrive en trois pièces principales plus quelques accessoires (pertinents) dans un packaging absolument impeccable et livré avec soin par Chronopost. Je ne l'ai pas encore utilisé car il réclame un travail de calibration et de paramétrage et la période de décembre n'est pas idéale pour réaliser ce travail de paramétrage. Je donne néanmoins 5 étoiles pour le packaging impeccable et l'excellente qualité de fabrication et des composants intégrés. Ce télescope est très bien évalué par les utilisateurs sur Internet. J'espère que la mise en route va se passer sans difficulté. Je compte compléter mon commentaire dans quelque temps après l'avoir monté et essayé. Entre-temps, je prévois de l'enrichir par un supplément d'accessoire. Je suis très content de mon achat.

Il Celestron NexStar 6SE è un telescopio che non mi ha deluso. Vengo da un NexStar 130 slt e devo dire che, nonostante sia leggermente meno luminoso per via delle differenti caratteristiche, sono molto soddisfatto. Le ottiche danno visuali nitide. Ho apprezzato la sua compattezza che lo rende perfetto per chi desidera uno strumento trasportabile senza rinunciare alla qualità ottica. Il sistema di puntamento automatico è intuitivo e preciso, permette di individuare facilmente oggetti celesti anche ai meno esperti. L'apertura da 150mm offre immagini dettagliate della Luna, dei pianeti e di molti oggetti del profondo cielo. La montatura è solida e stabile e garantisce osservazioni piacevoli anche a ingrandimenti elevati. Personalmente ritengo sia un ottimo compromesso fra strumenti entry-level attrezzatura amatoriale più costosa. L'unica nota negativa riguarda il puntatore a punto rosso fornito a corredo che purtroppo non si allinea. Ovviamente questa cosa all'inizio mi ha disturbato ma poi ho risolto inserendo un piccolo spessore di carta alla base del supporto. Nulla di grave.
